What we do - research

Virus-host interaction
We study of the biological interactions occurrring between virus and gene therapy vectors and the host cell. We analyze by single gene, single pathway and high throughput analysis the modulation events induced by virus. These studies help knowing viral biology, the toxicity of vectors and contribute clarifying cellular pathways. (Figure: Venn diagram of modulated genes in adenovirus- and adenovector-infected human cells).

Gene transfer  for basic and applied biology
We are using viral vectors for transfering genes and interfering sequences in ells and mice. We study stem cell related diseases and genes implicated in genome/telomere integrity (Figure: GFP-transduced mesenchymal stem cells and prostatic cells).
